Acrylic is suitable for a wide range of fabricated items. It is available in a variety of colours and finishes, it has a good scratch resistance and UV stability.

Many fabricated parts combine laser or CNC cut acrylic with folding, draping and gluing opertaions.

Laser cut acrylic items have a naturally glossy edge. CNC cut parts have a matt edge. Internal corners on CNC cut part will always have the radius of the cutter (typically 2 or 3mm). Where as laser cut parts can have square corners if required.

Hot wire folding is the process of heating and bending plastic. There is usually a small radius on the inside edge and a slightly larger radius on the outside edge. Simple card or poster holders can be created by folding a rectangular sheet of acrylic in half. Sometimes several bends can be heated and folded at the same time. Complex shapes can be achieved.
